Mayor thanks Veolia staff for Lambeth Country Show donation


Mayor of Lambeth, Cllr Mark Bennett organised a reception at the town hall on August 7th 2013 to thank Veolia staff for a donation of £1,247.26 to his nominated charity.

The money was raised by Veolia at the Lambeth Country Show from sales of watering cans and small plants. The £1,247.26 donation will be sent to the Mayor’s charity, the Trussell Trust.

Mayor of Lambeth, Cllr Mark Bennett said, “I am incredibly grateful to Veolia for their kind donation following the Lambeth Country show. Their donation will help families in Lambeth who are experiencing serious financial difficulties and need support from foodbanks.”

Robert Seear, Veolia Regional Manager South London said, “As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility we are pleased to make this donation to the Mayor’s charity from sales at the Lambeth Country Show.”
