Lambeth council has appointed three key staff who’ll be helping local people into jobs.
The employment brokerage team, led by Jacqueline Faulkner complements the work already being done by the council to make sure local people have the skills and training needed to match the thousands of jobs opportunities on the horizon in Lambeth.
The new staff will work with apprentices, employers, ex-offenders and construction companies.
Deputy leader, Cllr. Jackie Meldrum said: “ I’m delighted that we now have a specialist team in place who’ll work to get more jobs for local people. It’s absolutely essential that schools, colleges, employers and training providers all work together so that we can make the most of the fantastic opportunities in Lambeth ”
“ Lambeth is at the heart of huge regeneration and development and that means thousands of jobs across a huge range of openings from building to hospitality, health and social care and the creative industries.”
