Lambeth leader calls on Mayor to rethink fire station closures


Cllr Lib Peck, Leader of Lambeth council (elect) has written to Mayor Boris Johnson calling on him to rethink his proposals to close a number of fire stations in London including Clapham fire station. The full letter is attached.

The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA) will vote on the fire station closure proposals today (Monday 21st January).

Clapham fire station was one of the fire stations in Lambeth which sent fire crews to the helicopter crash at Vauxhall last Wednesday.
