Brothers hit with estate ban

Two violent and aggressive brothers who made residents’ lives a misery have been banned from entering an estate.

The Tulse Hill siblings, who both cannot be named for legal reasons, were handed Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday l May 8.

The order prohibits the pair from entering the area surrounding the St Martins Estate, Tulse Hill and followed a series of investigations by Lambeth Living, Lambeth council’s community safety officers, and Police.

The youths had been making Tulse Hill residents’ lives a misery by fighting, shouting, littering, loitering and terrorising the neighbourhood.

Councillor Jack Hopkins, Lambeth council’s cabinet member for public protection, said “These two brothers were a law unto themselves and residents told us they felt as if they were under siege within their own homes.

“This is something we cannot and will not ever tolerate. By working together with Lambeth Living and police officers we have secured these orders which should make a dramatic difference to the quality of residents’ lives.”
