Whether you’re a Lambeth resident who is just getting started or an experienced composter you are invited to take part in our live Q&A twitter session, with our Compost Doctor, on 8 and 10 May from 1pm to 2pm, as part of Compost Awareness Week, which runs from 6 to 11 May.
If you are you not sure which bin to choose, if your compost is too wet or too dry, or you’re worried about not having enough space, the Compost Doctor will be able to help.
Home composting uses your garden and kitchen waste (uncooked fruit and vegetables only) to produce a rich soil improver for your garden and it’s easier than you think!
What’s more we have joined up with Straight Plc who supply Lambeth residents with compost bins at reduced prices so you can buy a standard compost bin for just £11.
To take part in this live session, all you need to do is log in to Twitter and tweet @lambeth_council #compost4lambeth with your compost question any time from 1pm to 2pm on 8 May or 10 May and our Compost Doctor will be ready to answer it.
To see your answers go to @lambeth_council or search for the #compost4lambeth hashtag on twitter.
Alternatively you can submit your comments on our environment blog.
Don’t forget that you can contact our Compost Doctor is available all year round on our environment blog to provide support and advice to Lambeth composters. Alternatively, email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
