Residents who want to know more about elections taking place in London on 3 May should come to a special event in Brixton on 10 April.
The Ballot Box Roadshow – featuring a gigantic, inflatable ballot box – will be visiting Lambeth on 10 April when it will be in Windrush Square between 3pm and 5pm. Residents are encouraged to drop by and speak to the London Elects team, who will give out information about the elections for the Mayor of London and the London Assembly and how to take part.
The Ballot Box has already been to City Hall, Tower Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral – and has even been on the pitch at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Over the next few weeks it is touring the rest of London and will be appearing beside local landmarks throughout the capital’s 32 boroughs to make sure Londoners, wherever they live in London, have their say in this years’ election.
The Ballot Box’s message is ‘Have Your Say. Vote 3rd May’. It has three ballot papers jutting out from the top, as this is what voters will be given on 3rd May – to vote for the Mayor of London, a Constituency Assembly Member and a London-wide Assembly member.
