Lambeth helps local businesses learn top tips for winning contracts

Lambeth Council is inviting local businesses to learn some tricks of the trade, giving them a better chance of winning contracts to supply public sector organisations. FREE workshops designed to help businesses make the most of public sector supply chain opportunities are taking place this month.

The Supply Lambeth events, organised in partnership with South London Business cover a variety of subject areas and will include:

  • Workshops for small and medium sized businesses to find out more about procurement and working in partnership with other businesses to tender for contracts, marketing and sub contracting.
  • Seminars on how to write winning tenders.
  • Meet the Buyer events, where businesses present their products and services to key buyers from Lambeth Council, other public sector partners and other major private sector buyers.

Councillor Sally Prentice, cabinet member for regeneration, planning, employment and enterprise, said: “Winning public sector contracts can be valuable in helping small and medium sized businesses flourish, and the Supply Lambeth programme can help businesses put together successful tenders for these contracts.

“I would say this is a ‘must attend’ programme for local independent businesses.”

The current round of Supply Lambeth workshops will end with a Meet the Buyer event on April 7, giving businesses a chance to meet face-to-face, and network with, major local buyers from a variety of public and private sector organisations.
