Local businesses who want to be one step ahead of their competitors in securing public sector contracts, should visit the latest Supply Lambeth event this month. Organised by Lambeth Council, the ‘Meet the Buyer’ event which will be held on May 11, gives local firms the perfect opportunity to find out more about what it takes to win contracts in the public sector.
This event will give businesses a chance to meet face-to-face with major local buyers from a variety of service areas including facilities management, construction and catering.
Held at the Brit Oval Cricket Ground in Kennington SE11, from 9am to 4pm, Meet the Buyer is free to attend and buyers will meet key purchasers from Lambeth Council and its supply chain.
Buyers who attended last year were able to network, meet buyers and secure future contracts. Streatham based business Mediworld, suppliers of surgical and dental equipment, was able to secure a contract. Director Naveed Kahn commented: “The Supply Lambeth event was very successful for us. As a result we won a £25,000 contract, which is great for our business.”
Gail Rowe, Lambeth Council Enterprise Manager said; “We have been running this event for three years now and it has already established itself as a ‘must see’ event for local firms. It has proved enormously successful and provided businesses with a unique and useful networking opportunity. I would definitely encourage local businesses to attend”.
