New chief executive appointed for United Residents Housing

John BrewsterUnited Residents Housing (URH) have appointed a new Chief Executive. John Brewster joins the organisation having previously held the position of deputy chief executive at Gateway Housing Association. He takes over on a permanent basis from Nilavra Mukerji who has been URH interim chief executive since September 2008.

Chair of URH, Mary Simpson expressed her delight at John’s appointment, she says: “John brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our unique organisation at a very important time. We are confident he will build on what Nilavra has achieved and will take us forward to success with our housing services inspection”.

Councillor Lib Peck, Lambeth Council cabinet member for housing welcomed John’s appointment saying: “I would like to welcome John to Lambeth and look forward to working with him to build on the good work his predecessor – Nilavra has already started, to improve housing services for local residents”.
