Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival 2005

A month of exciting events to suit all tastes is the promise from Lambeth Libraries as the service gears up for the second Lambeth Readers and Writers Festival in May.

Residents are invited to pop into their local libraries. They can get their creative juices flowing in fiction workshops, listen to authors talking about crime and science fiction, or learn how to compose and perform their own poetry.

Also on offer will be a comedy writer’s night and the opportunity to learn more about subjects as diverse as writings from Africa or Lambeth’s rich culture and heritage.

“There is a lot more going on in your libraries than may people may realize,” said Head of Libraries, Archives and Arts Lesley Ray “so book early and come along to celebrate the joys of literature.”

For detailed information on events planned for each library please pop into your local library and pick up a programme or look out for information on www.lambeth.gov.uk

To book please ring Rosanna Osborne at Lambeth Libraries on 020 7926 0750 or email rosborne@lambeth.gov.uk.
