An evening of information, advice, support and activity will be on offer for the young people of Clapham and Stockwell on April 13. Services and projects working with young people will also be on hand to ensure that issues important to young people are to the fore.
Health, education, jobs, drugs awareness, crime and homelessness will all be covered by local representatives of organisations dealing with these subjects.
Local practitioners will give out information on what is available for young men and women. They will be joined by Lambeth council representatives who deliver the library and children’s services, by Lambeth College staff and by members of Clapham & Stockwell Youth Forum.
Participants can avail of a free health check and advice on sexual health issues, see videos shot locally by young people about the places where they live or take part in workshops. Free food and refreshments will be available.
The evening is organised jointly by the Clapham and Stockwell Town Centre Board, the Clapham and Stockwell Area Committee and the Youth Forum. It will take place on April 13 at St Anne’s Hall, St Alphonsus Rd, Clapham SW4 and run from 7pm to 9.30pm.
All local young people, and those wanting to help young people to get ahead, are warmly invited to attend.
